It’s easy to let procrastination take over when you embark on the book writing journey. For some, procrastination sets in before they even take one step. The mere thought of writing a book causes them to head to the fridge, pull out the raw organic chocolate fudge made with sweet potato, and get distracted with Netflix.
For the disciplined few that do manage to sit themselves down and open the computer, starting to write a book can be akin to trying to learn to swim butterfly – they’re expending a lot of energy, but not really getting too far.
This is frustrating.
I want to help you breakthrough the procrastination and actually get your book done this year.
In my #1 Amazon Best-Seller The Book Writer Breakthrough, I go into this in detail. Here are the soundbites:
- Eliminate overwhelm by having a great plan. We do a session called the Book Map Game Plan, where we get crystal clear clarity on your purpose, vision, message and structure for your book. Just focus on one piece at a time.
- Get advice on what to do next – there are many sections to a book. Knowing which part to do when can save you hours or months of time going round in circles. Keep it simple, do one thing at a time.
- Set up your environment for book writing success – creativity needs clear time and space for it flourish productively. Bring conscious thought into your environment – consider the music, the smells, the colours, the ambient energy of the space – make sure it is supporting you.
